Engagement Manager Remote

The Surgical Directions’ Engagement Manager partners with healthcare clients to achieve their financial, operational, and organizational goals. The focus of our work is on perioperative services and expands across the care continuum. This role is responsible for leading fast-paced, outcome-oriented consulting engagements and requires deep experience utilizing complex problem-solving skills, leveraging analytical tools and financial acumen to identify trends in data and develop associated improvement opportunities for hospital clients. The candidate should possess a track record of successfully integrating into and leading high-performance, interdisciplinary teams to meet project milestones and achieve measurable performance outcomes. Director of Consulting Remote

Surgical Directions’ Director, Consulting reports to the Associate Vice President. The role of the Director is to foster strong client relationships by understanding their needs, designing solutions to best meet those needs, and partnering with them through implementation and governance. This role will partner with c-suite level clients and Surgical Directions executives to drive meaningful change in the healthcare industry. Type of projects include: establishing sustainable value-based care programs, developing strategies to improve healthcare outcomes and financial performance, and optimizing efficiencies in surgical services.

This person must be a strong leader – to not only grow and support a team but also to create meaningful and sustainable change at a client. Communication, strategy, and program leadership skills are a must.

The Vice President (VP), of Nursing will lead the nursing organization and will serve on the senior leadership team at Surgical Directions. Director of Perioperative Nursing

The Director, Perioperative Nursing Services provides clinical consultation to clients through assessment and implementation of proven best practice methods to transform perioperative and procedural service departments within hospitals and other healthcare facilities. The Director Perioperative Nursing Services primarily functions as a member of a multidisciplinary clinical and operational team to influence change in culture and processes through an established perioperative governance model and leads performance improvement teams comprised of front-line constituents and primary stakeholders.

The individual oversees all nursing aspects of client engagements and is responsible for coaching and mentoring current clinical staff and leadership at assigned engagements.  As part of the consulting team, the individual will lend expertise on nursing and leadership best practices. This role may also be the Lead of client engagements, which entails running the program management, deliverable quality control, program financials, and day-to-day work efforts of the team. This role will manage teams at the client site and may have direct reports organizationally.

This candidate will also be involved in the business development and sales process, in addition to client delivery. S/he will help to scope work, develop proposals, serve as a nursing expert on sales calls and meetings, and help to complete the sale of an engagement. Proven written and oral communication skills are a must and prior consulting experience is preferred.  The individual is expected to provide routine correspondence in both verbal and written methods to team members on the progress and status of each assigned engagement and must be able to simultaneously manage multiple engagements. The individual must travel to client locations on a defined schedule that is coordinated through the project management team. Travel is up to 80%.

Business Consultant

Surgical Directions is looking for a motivated and driven Business Consultant. As an Associate Consultant, you will be part of a team responsible for solving complex and strategic issues faced by hospitals, health systems, and medical centers. Small project teams allow you access to client executives, as well as regular contact and coaching from highly seasoned consultants. We are unique in that we offer Managers and Associates visibility within the firm and exposure to a broad range of healthcare projects (2), including strategy, workforce solutions, supply chain, and performance improvement. A Master’s degree in a health or business-related field is required.

CSP Consultant

Surgical Directions is looking for an experienced CSP Consultant. Sterile Processing Specialist Consultant provides consultation and leadership supervision to clients through assessment, analysis, and implementation of proven best practice methods to transform perioperative and procedural service departments within hospitals and other healthcare facilities, specifically Central Sterile Processing. The CSP Specialist primarily functions as a member of a multidisciplinary clinical and operational team to influence change in culture and processes through an established perioperative governance model and leads performance improvement teams comprised of front-line constituents and primary stakeholders. The individual oversees all CSP aspects of client engagements and is responsible for coaching and mentoring current CSP staff and leadership at assigned engagements. As part of the consulting team, the CSP Specialist lends expertise and leadership best practices including Central Sterile Processing and its outcomes related to the operating room. The individual must travel to client locations on a defined schedule that is coordinated through the Surgical Directions Client Services team. Proven written and oral communication skills are a must and prior consulting experience is preferred. The individual is expected to provide routine correspondence in both verbal and written methods to team members on the progress and status of each assigned engagement and must be able to simultaneously manage multiple engagements. Additionally, the Central Sterile Processing Specialist Consultant will be assigned to specific perioperative project work which may include consulting services at primary perioperative implementations and or Central Sterile Processing engagements.
