AVP of Perioperative Nursing
Anne is an associate vice president of perioperative nursing recognized for the ability to be a change agent. Prior to joining Surgical Directions her perioperative experience of more than 30 years includes: main OR, PACU, PAT, ambulatory, GI, central sterile, and women’s health labor and delivery within hospitals in a systems and independent community setting, as well as for-profit free standing surgery centers.
Anne’s leadership style is an open hands-on team approach to process change and inclusivity. At various hospital sites Anne was key in revitalizing struggling perioperative departments, bringing all aspects together to focus on best outcomes, streamlined processes and produce positive financials. While in the free standing surgical center arena, she enhanced surgical volume, improved physician relations, and renegotiated payer contracts.
Anne has developed business plans encompassing aspects such as; case volume with strategic growth, on-boarding of new physicians, and renovations of departments, staff re-education and development. She engages staff to realize department opportunities and their effects on the throughput, with action plans to meet the facility’s needs. Anne’s overall nursing experience is in surgical nursing, intensive care, and nursing administration. She also specializes in perioperative processes and sterile central supply.
