Lee Hedman's Biography

Throughout her career, Lee’s collaborative management of Operating Room Transformations has yielded significant increases in surgical growth and millions of dollars in hospital profits. Lee has successfully worked with physician practices to improve revenue cycle processes and improve financial performance while transforming the anesthesia practice to perform as a business entity and an invaluable partner with the hospital. Surgical Directions’ Interim Staffing business line is also managed by Lee, supporting current client staffing voids including OR Director, Educator, and Sterile Processing Management.

Today, Lee focuses on lead generation within the Perioperative Services realm. Lee received her Lean Certification from the University of Michigan’s School of Engineering and her Certification for Project Management from DePaul University through the globally recognized Project Management Institute program. She has also received a Certificate of Mastery for Surgical Services Management.

In addition to her consulting work, Lee regularly publishes articles on current topics facing hospitals today. Lee was recently recognized as a 2019 Top Women in Healthcare Award finalist for the “Directors” category by PR News.
